I think our friend hoboman is new to the game of Anarchy Online, and has been bought up knowing only of Shadowlands.

As for guns, Im not sure Sad probably best if you direct this sort of question to the official AO boards at http://forums.anarchy-online.com where you should find a thread entitled 'Profession Acadamies'

Where you should find like-minded, experienced Engineers, who will be able to better advise you on the best gun for you at level 32.

I'd suggest heading to official Engi boards like you said. Also there is Tir school of engineering but it's more like a walkthough for crafting...
